Password protect multiple PDFs, each with a different password
Batch tools in most PDF software apply one password to every file. When each file belongs to a different person, you need a different password for each. Sealrift does exactly that, in your browser, without uploading anything.
Nothing is uploaded. Your PDFs, CSV and passwords are processed in your browser's memory and never reach our servers.
Works with Wi-Fi off. Once the page has loaded, splitting and encryption need no internet connection.
Proves it. The app shows a live "Network requests made" counter while you work.
Three ways to set a different password for each PDF
- From a CSV column. A spreadsheet with a file name (or an ID) and a password column. Sealrift matches each PDF to its row.
- From a template. Build passwords from columns, for example
{DOB:DDMMYYYY}or{NI_LAST4}{POSTCODE_NOSPACE}. - From an ID printed in the PDF. Sealrift reads the employee number or reference on each page and looks it up in your CSV.
What makes it safe for personal documents
- Files are processed in your browser's memory; nothing is uploaded to Sealrift or anyone else.
- Export is blocked until every file has a password.
- AES-256 encryption, the strongest in the PDF standard.
Limits
