1. Who we are and these terms
Sealrift is provided by Nikah AI Ltd, trading as Sealrift, registered in England and Wales (company number 17199968), registered office Office 1216, 60 Tottenham Court Road, London W1T 2EW ("we", "us"). Contact: support@sealrift.com.
These terms apply when you use Sealrift on sealrift.com, as an installed web app, or as a browser extension, and when you buy a subscription. By using Sealrift you agree to them. If you buy for an organisation, you confirm you may bind it, and "you" includes that organisation.
2. What Sealrift does
Sealrift splits PDF files and encrypts each output with a password, entirely inside your web browser. We never receive the documents, data or passwords you use. Sealrift does not send email.
3. Free and paid plans
- Free: the features described on sealrift.com for free use, including up to 10 output files per batch.
- Pro (£7 a month or £70 a year): the Pro features, for one person on up to 2 devices that person uses.
- Bureau (£19 a month or £190 a year): the Pro features, for use within one organisation on up to 5 devices.
Device limits are not enforced technically; you agree to keep to them. Do not share, sell or publish your licence key.
4. Your licence to use Sealrift
We grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use Sealrift in line with these terms and your plan. You must not copy, resell or redistribute Sealrift, remove its notices, or try to get around the licence check, except as the law allows. Open-source components remain under their own licences, which are included with the app.
5. Your responsibilities
- Your documents and data. You are responsible for the documents and personal data you process with Sealrift and for having a lawful basis to do so. If you process other people's data (for example employees' payslips), you are the controller of that data; we are not a processor because we never receive it.
- Password choice. You choose the password rules. You are responsible for choosing passwords strong enough for the sensitivity of each document. AES-256 encryption is only as strong as the password.
- Password distribution. You are responsible for telling recipients their passwords securely, and separately from the files, and for keeping any passwords report safe.
- Checking the output. Before sending files, check that each file contains the right pages for the right person and opens with its password. Sealrift checks for missing passwords and unmatched IDs, but it cannot know whether your CSV is correct.
- You must not use Sealrift for anything unlawful.
6. Subscriptions, billing and renewal
- Prices are in pounds sterling and are the total you pay. Payment is taken by Stripe; for Sealrift sales Stripe may act as the merchant of record (reseller) under Stripe Managed Payments, and Stripe's checkout and receipts may show the tax included in the total.
- Your subscription starts when payment is confirmed and renews automatically at the end of each monthly or yearly period, at the price then in force, until you cancel.
- Your licence key is shown on screen straight after payment. You can recover it at any time on the Recover page. We do not email keys.
- The web version refreshes your key automatically. The extension never contacts us: when your key is close to its end date, get a refreshed key from the Manage page on sealrift.com and paste it in. Monthly keys last until the end of the paid month plus three days; yearly keys until the end of the paid year plus three days. Once you have cancelled, a key lasts only until the end of the period you have paid for.
- If we change the price, we will tell you at least 30 days before it applies to you, on sealrift.com and in the app. If you do not want to pay the new price, cancel before your next renewal.
7. Cancelling
You can cancel at any time in the billing portal (Manage page). Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep Pro until the end of the period you have paid for. Your rights to cancel and get a refund are set out in our Refund and Cancellation Policy, which forms part of these terms.
8. Your statutory rights
If you are a consumer, you have legal rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 that these terms do not affect. Digital content must be as described, fit for purpose and of satisfactory quality. If it is not, you can ask us to repair or replace it, or in some cases for a refund.
9. Availability and changes
We aim to keep sealrift.com available, but we do not promise it will always be. Because Sealrift runs in your browser, the app keeps working offline if our website is unavailable. We may improve or change Sealrift; we will not remove a core paid feature during a period you have paid for without offering a pro-rata refund.
10. Our liability
- Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law.
- We are not responsible for loss or damage caused by your choice of passwords, how you or anyone else distributes passwords or files, the contents of your CSV, a recipient's handling of a document, or your failure to check the output.
- If you use Sealrift for business: we are not liable for loss of profit, revenue, business, goodwill or data, or for any indirect or consequential loss; and our total liability to you in any 12-month period is limited to the amount you paid us for Sealrift in that period, or £100 if greater.
- If you are a consumer: we are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for loss that was not foreseeable, or for business losses.
11. Ending these terms
We may suspend or end your licence if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms, for example by publishing your key. If we end a paid licence for another reason, we will refund any unused part of your subscription.
12. General
- These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction, except that consumers living in Scotland or Northern Ireland may also bring proceedings in their local courts.
- If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in force.
- We may update these terms. The version in force when you buy or renew applies to that period. We will show material changes in the app before they take effect.
